I’m so sad I didn’t have a chance to make it to the pink lake. Gives me a reason to go back! There’s so much more to explore over there.

Comment on Snakes of Western Australia: How to keep yourself and your family safe by Dave http://www.keepingupwithlittlejoneses.com/2018/12/05/snake-safety/#comment-419 Mon, 15 Jul 2019 02:41:24 +0000 http://www.keepingupwithlittlejoneses.com/?p=914#comment-419 All good tips, as a Kiwi (no snakes or other nasty beasts) I was a bit hyper aware on my first hikes in Australia, but the reality is that it’s fairly rare to see snakes while hiking. The most common places that people get bitten are hands and lower legs, so it’s a good idea to check before you sit on a log to see what’s underneath and if you are lifting things outside where you can’t see what’s under there do it cautiously with stick or with gloves on. You are more likely to get bitten by a spider anyway.
